Skipping MP3s on KDE
Skipping MP3s on KDE
On KDE, we've had a problem with some
mp3 files skipping. This happens with our favorite radio station. Can't have that. Oddly, the solution appears to be to go to the Sound System control panel and turn off Skip Prevention via the checkbox marked "Run with the highest priority (realtime priority)". This is on FreeBSD 5.2.
Of course that doesn't really work. Turning off full duplex does the trick. It seems to like realtime priority with a big buffer. I'll try turning the buffer down some other day.
